Install at home, on Wi-Fi, before you go. Open your eSIM’s page from the email we sent or from your order link.
On the phone you’re taking
- Open your eSIM’s page on that phone and tap Copy the install code.
- Go to
Settings › Network & internet › SIMsand tap Add eSIM. On Samsung:Settings › Connections › SIM manager › Add eSIM. - Choose to enter a code instead of scanning, and paste it.
From another screen
- Open your eSIM’s page on a computer or another phone. It shows a QR code.
- On your phone, go to Add eSIM as above.
- Scan the QR code, confirm, and wait for the download to finish.
Menus differ a little between makers. Searching Settings for “eSIM” usually finds it. Asked for an SM-DP+ address? On your eSIM’s page, tap Enter the details by hand and copy the address and activation code.
Set up the lines
- Name the new line “esimjia”, or something you’ll recognise.
- Mobile data: the esimjia line.
- Calls and SMS: your own SIM, so your number stays the same.
When you land
- Go to
Settings › Network & internet › SIMsand choose the esimjia line. - Turn on Roaming.
It connects within a minute or two. If it doesn’t, see If it doesn’t connect.
When your 30 days start
They start when the eSIM first connects to a network, not when you install it, so installing early costs you nothing. Install within six months of buying.
Live where the plan works, such as a Europe plan in Europe? Turn the esimjia line off in Settings until you leave. Otherwise it could connect at home and start its days early.
Trip off? Cancel it for credit, as long as it has never connected.
Don’t delete the eSIM from your phone while you still need it. It may not install again, so ask us first.
